B.G. Catterns, One Pound, L17 611519 ( Dugg. B.225 ) Series "A" Britannia Issue 15th July 1930The front features the medallion of Britannia. The reverse shows the south front of the Bank with vignettes of St George and the Dragon. These are contained in swirls of acanthus leaves of pale green, blue, and mauve. Watermark of wavy lines and the helmeted head of Britannia facing right. The banknote measures 150mm x 84mm. Ceased to be legal tender after 28th May 1962

So far I am really happy with these socks. I broke my big toe and had to have my toenail removed and am wearing a post-op shoe/boot. I wanted to wear a sock underneath so that my foot wouldn't get too sweaty but my toe is still too tender for regular socks and cutting the toes off of regular socks doesn't work because they won't stay put. These work great- I actually pull them up over my little toes and just leave my first couple of toes exposed. I really like that you can wear these on either foot (unlike some open toed socks that have openings for the big toe and the rest of your toes so they are designated for left and right foot) since I'm only using them on my right foot.
